Quick help

Snorz cannot hear anything

Open iPhone Settings, find Snorz, and make sure Microphone access is enabled.

A night has no Snore Load

A score requires analysed audio and at least 80% analysis coverage. The report explains when more data is needed.

A clip is unavailable

The clip may have reached its retention limit or may still be downloading from iCloud. The night report remains available.

Pro is not recognised

Open Snorz Pro and choose Restore Purchases while signed in with the Apple Account used for the purchase.

Recording a sleep session

  1. Place your iPhone on a stable bedside surface with the microphone unobstructed.
  2. Connect the iPhone to power for longer sessions.
  3. Open Snorz, choose your starting sleep position if you wish, and tap Start listening.
  4. Keep Snorz running. The app automatically tries to resume after common audio interruptions.
  5. In the morning, end the session to view the report.
Privacy note: Snorz analyses the live audio stream on-device. Silence is never intentionally stored; only likely snoring events are retained as clips.

Reports and Snore Load

Snore Load is an app-specific wellness trend from 0 to 100. It combines detected duration, event frequency, relative loudness, and the longest event. It is not a standard medical index.

Why might a report say “Not enough data”?

A session needs analysed audio and at least 80% analysis coverage to receive a Snore Load. Interrupted microphone access, audio-route changes, or a very incomplete analysis can prevent scoring.

Why does loudness say “relative”?

Snorz measures loudness relative to the room floor and the recording setup. It is not a calibrated sound-pressure reading and should not be compared directly across different phones or rooms.

Is Snorz a medical device?

No. Snorz provides wellness trends and does not diagnose sleep apnoea, breathing disorders, or any other condition. Speak with a healthcare professional if you are concerned about breathing interruptions or your health.

iCloud Sync

Your local Snorz database remains the primary copy on your iPhone. If you enable iCloud Sync with Snorz Pro, Snorz adds a private CloudKit copy for your other devices.

  • Confirm that you are signed in to iCloud and that iCloud Drive is enabled.
  • Keep the app open while the first sync begins.
  • If iCloud is temporarily unavailable, recordings remain on your iPhone.
  • Deleting all sleep data in Snorz also requests deletion of the corresponding private iCloud data.

Discover and public clips

Discover is optional. Browsing does not publish your private recordings. To post, you create a public username and explicitly choose one detected event from a night report.

  • The selected full event clip, Sound Match, duration, relative loudness, username, and posting time become public.
  • Your complete night report and other private clips are not published.
  • You can delete your own public post from its menu without changing the private report.
  • You can report a post or block its creator from the post menu.
Please share responsibly: Listen before publishing. Do not share clips containing speech, private information, or another person’s audio without their permission.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple and managed from your Apple Account. Snorz uses RevenueCat to determine whether the Snorz Pro entitlement is active.

  • Use Restore Purchases in the app after reinstalling or changing devices.
  • Manage or cancel a subscription in iPhone Settings under your Apple Account subscriptions.
  • Deleting Snorz does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

Manage or delete your data

Open Snorz Settings to change clip retention, enable or disable iCloud Sync, or delete all sleep data. Individual detected events and their saved audio can also be deleted from a night report.

Public Discover posts have their own delete action. Deleting a private event does not automatically delete a public copy that you previously chose to publish.

Still need help?

Open a public support request with the app version, iOS version, and a short description. Never attach private recordings, personal information, purchase receipts, or Apple Account details.
